On September 27, the “Belt and Road” International Business Officer Practice Teaching Base - China - ASEAN FTA Upgrading Green Trade Workshop came to G60 Science and Innovation Corridor in Yangtze River Delta to investigate and exchange views on Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprises. The workshop brought together officials and business executives from Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and other ASEAN member countries' economic and trade-related government departments. Chen Wei, deputy dean of the School of International Education of Shanghai Business School and deputy director of the International Business Officials Training (Shanghai) Base of the Ministry of Commerce, Jia Zhanfeng, deputy director of the G60 Joint Office and director of the G60 Innovation Research Center, Dai Zhong, director of the Songjiang Investment Promotion Center, Man Yuanyuan, head of the Innovation and Cooperation Group of the G60 Joint Office and deputy director of the G60 Innovation Research Center, and Ni Huali, director of the Zhongshan Street Economic and Service Office of Songjiang District accompanied the research.

Accompanied by Tong Xuemei, assistant to the chairman of the board of directors of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprises and Zhang Jianchuan, general manager of Shanghai Zhengyi, etc., the seminar team firstly visited the exhibition hall of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprises' history and the exhibition hall of its products, which demonstrated the enterprise's latest achievements and technological strength in the field of agricultural and animal husbandry intelligent equipment. Subsequently, at the symposium, government leaders at all levels introduced in detail the overall development of the Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor and its future planning, and comprehensively elaborated on the investment environment, industrial advantages and support policies of Songjiang District.

As the focus of this visit, the Zhengda electromechanical enterprise has received the attention of the workshop participants, who have made in-depth inquiries about the enterprise's development and overseas layout. Tong Xuemei firstly expressed her gratitude to Songjiang District Government, ASEAN Workshop and enterprise representatives for their support and arrival. She recalled the development history of the Chint Group in China, and introduced that as the first foreign-funded enterprise to invest in China since China's reform and opening up, the Chint Group has always shared the same fate with China, and through decades of unremitting exploration and practice, it has put forward the “Four-in-One” New Rural Construction Program for the country's rural revitalization, namely “Government+Enterprise+Bank+Agricultural Cooperative Organization” model, which focuses on the prosperity of farmers, effectively solves the problems faced by farmers in terms of capital, technology and market, and lays a solid foundation for realizing the goal of common prosperity and common development.

In the face of the ASEAN students' enthusiastic attention, Tong Xuemei introduced, Zhengda electromechanical enterprises in recent years through the introduction of cutting-edge technology, successfully built a number of digital intelligent feed mills, farms, food factories prototype, to lead China's agricultural and animal husbandry industry into the modern industry 4.0 era. This leap has not only greatly improved the production efficiency of the agriculture and animal husbandry industry, but also attracted many young talents to join the industry, injecting new forces for the sustainable development of China's agriculture and animal husbandry industry. Meanwhile, relying on the Group's extensive global layout and brand influence, CZME has been actively expanding its overseas markets, especially in transnational project cooperation in ASEAN countries and other regions with broad development potential. She said that Zhengda is looking forward to working with ASEAN countries to jointly promote the development of the world's agriculture and animal husbandry industry and contribute to the prosperity of the regional economy.

Subsequently, the workshop participants and enterprise representatives had in-depth and enthusiastic discussions on topics such as scientific and technological innovation, industrial scenario landing, enterprises going overseas and international business cooperation. Representatives of Chint Smart Port, Qidi Caohejing Science Park and other parks and many enterprises shared their valuable experiences and achievements in science and technology innovation and industrial cooperation, which provided new ideas and opportunities for deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. Representatives from all parties spoke freely, and the atmosphere was warm and cordial.

As an important member of G60 Science and Technology Creation Corridor, ZDME has received strong support and help from Songjiang District and Zhongshan Street government departments at all levels in the course of decades of development. The investigation and research activities not only deepen the understanding and awareness of ASEAN countries on G60 Science and Innovation Corridor, but also provide more opportunities and platforms for Zhengda M&E enterprises to “go abroad”. In the future, ZDME will continue to play a leading role, work closely with the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor, jointly promote international exchanges and cooperation under the “Belt and Road” initiative, and continue to contribute its strength and wisdom to the development of the world's agricultural and animal husbandry industry.
